The Greater Yellowstone Area hunt offers a limited number of hunters an opportunity to hunt the migration corridor near the Yellowstone Park boundary. This is the time of year when the elk typically migrate out of the park to winter range, offering hunters the opportunity to harvest trophy bulls.

The Greater Yellowston Area general season  wilderness hunt is a 7 day (1 day in, 5 days hunting, 1 day out) hunt out of Gardiner.  We hunt 1 guide to 2 hunters and take 4 hunters on a trip. This hunt provides the creature comforts of a hunting lodge but the option to stay overnight in out backcountry camp, Bassett Creek, depending on the eather and the elk.

Drop Camp Pricing

The base rate for a drop camp is $500.  The rate for stock is $25 per hour per animal.  Example:  If you want to be dropped off 4 hours from the trailhead, this requires 8 hours round trip for your guide and his stock (4hrs. in + 4hrs. out = 8 hours).  If the trip requires 3 animals (your guide’s horse, the horse you are riding, and one pack mule) that would be $75 per hour ($25 X 3 animals) X 8 hours = $600.  Add the $600 to the base rate of $500 and the total for your drop camp would be $1100.
